TALAAT CAPTAN – President and CEO

Talaat Captan is President and CEO of Air Hollywood. He is the president and founder of Green Communications, a privately held Los Angeles based motion picture production and Distribution Company since 1990. Mr. Captan has produced 15 motion pictures through Green Communications, which were distributed throughout the world. Mr. Captan’s films are diverse in subject matter, ranging from science fiction to suspense to drama and action genres. Actors appearing in Green Communications films include Rob Lowe, James Belushi, Kelly McGillis, Kiefer Sutherland, and Henry Winkler. Mr. Captan’s productions include Norman Mailer’s Time of Her Time, Ground Control, Apex, Living in Peril, Prototype, Digital Man, Space Marines and Junior Pilot.

Green Communications is an active member of the prestigious American Film Marketing Association (AFMA), the U.S. independent film export trade association. In addition to serving as Producer on Green’s motion pictures, Mr. Captan supervises the creation of advertising and promotion of the films, and oversees all sales efforts. Mr. Captan began his professional career in 1983 as a distributor of motion pictures, and quickly advanced into the ranks of successful production and distribution executives. He served as a director on the Board of AFMA for four years – 1999, 2000, and 2001 and 2003.

Talaat Captan, is responsible for the overall planning, organization, direction and control of the organization. He oversees marketing, sales, customer service, and approves financial obligations. He plans, develops and establishes goals and policies for the growth of the business. He coordinates financial planning and develops financial programs to provide funding.

ROBERT SHALHOUB – Principal

Robert Shalhoub joined Air Hollywood in 2002 as the General Manager and has recently accepted the title of Vice President. Mr. Shalhoub directs many company activities, including business development, marketing, public relations, human resources, and operations. In addition, Mr. Shalhoub serves as Air Hollywood's chief negotiator as well as public and client relations representative.

Before joining Air Hollywood, Mr. Shalhoub was with Sapient Corporation, an S&P 500 business and technology consultancy. While at Sapient, Mr. Shalhoub worked on various development teams for clients such as Staples, Verizon and Union Gas. In addition, he spearheaded the firm’s expansion to Toronto, the firm's first Canadian office.

Mr. Shalhoub received his Bachelor of Arts from Tufts University with a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy with a focus in International Economic Development. In addition to the core competency, Mr. Shalhoub completed coursework in Digital Video Production, Screenwriting, Film Theory and Directing and has written, produced and directed several short films and videos. With his academic emphasis in international business, his experience working in the high-tech media industry, and his passion for filmmaking, Mr. Shalhoub greatly contributes to Air Hollywood's executive, technological and creative needs.

NORM JONES – Executive Vice President

Norm Jones is the Executive Vice President of Air Hollywood as well as an Aviation Consultant for the motion picture, television and commercial industries. Mr. Jones is a commercial pilot with American Airlines with over 29 years experience and 16,000 hours of flying time. He has completed USAF pilot training, and served in Vietnam as Forward Air Controller for the 22nd Tactical Air Support Squadron. After the war, he served as a C-9A instructor in Long Beach, California and flew Lockheed C-5A’s for the 512th Military Airlift Squadron out of Dover Air Force Base. He has flown commercial aircraft for American Airlines including Boeing 727, Boeing 707, McDonnell Douglas DC-10 and McDonnell Douglas MD-80. Norm Jones has completed special training on Boeing’s new 777 aircraft receiving "Captain" certification. Norm Jones is responsible for the technical accuracy of the aviation mock-ups and sets. He also consults with client production companies on all aviation related matters for accuracy in appearance and procedure. He locates aviation materials for Air Hollywood all over the world, and works closely with the Production Designer in finding materials necessary to construct, update and maintain the sets.

NARBEH NAZARIAN – Production Designer

Narbeh Nazarian is Air Hollywood’s Production Designer. Mr. Nazarian’s experience as both an industrial design engineer and over 20 years in the entertainment industry gives Air Hollywood a significant competitive edge. His vast experience ranges from product design for Disney’s theme parks worldwide to production design of over a dozen feature films and a number of commercials. He is responsible for the ongoing design of the facilities and sets. He oversees the renovation of the building and construction of sets. He up-grades the permanent sets, and designs modifications pursuant to client orders for an additional fee. He also is the final arbiter of the detail, surface finish, and functional design of the sets and facilities.

IVAN DREHSPUL – Technical Supervisor

Ivan Drehspul is Air Hollywood’s Technical Supervisor. Mr. Drehspul has 10 years of specialized experience in aviation mock-ups, having joined Air Hollywood in 2001 from its chief competitor, Airline Film and Television Promotions. Ivan supervises all film shoots on Air Hollywood’s mock-ups and ensures the proper delivery of our services. Ivan is a member of IATSE Local 44.

JP WELGUS – Stock Footage Supervisor

JP Welgus joined Air Hollywood in 2005, as the stock footage specialist. JP is responsible for all stock footage related activities including business development, marketing, customer relations, vendor relations, sales, and overseeing film production. JP also works on various projects as an editor, graphic designer and motion graphics designer. Prior to joining Air Hollywood, JP worked in Universal Studios’ Digital Asset Management department, Disney’s Animation Department, at Samurai Post as the art director, at Rogue Post in New York City as an assistant editor, and at Loki Films in New York City as a production intern. Mr. Welgus graduated in 2002 from Full Sail with a degree in Digital Media.
